Swim Lesson Terms, Conditions & Liability Waiver
Thank you for choosing to participate in swim lessons! Please read the following carefully. By signing below (or typing your name), you agree to these terms and conditions and acknowledge the waiver of liability.

1. General Information
Swim lessons are held in a privately owned backyard pool and provided by an individual, not a licensed or insured commercial business. The instructor offers lessons based on personal experience and relevant training.


2. Arrival & Departure
You may arrive no more than 5 minutes early and stay no more than 5 minutes after your scheduled lesson.

Please do not arrive too early or linger afterward, as there are often other lessons going on.

Repeated early arrivals or extended stays may result in cancellation of lessons.


3. Supervision & Conduct
A parent/guardian must remain on-site for all swimmers, unless otherwise approved.

Only the swimmer and up to 2 additional guests are permitted in the backyard, unless otherwise approved.

Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children before, during, and after the lesson.

All children must be within arms reach of their parent/guardian before, during, and after the lesson, unless participating in swim lessons.

No running, roughhousing, climbing on furniture or pool equipment, or throwing objects.

Please keep noise levels reasonable and be respectful of neighbors and the property.

No diving unless directed by the instructor.

Only enter the pool when invited by the instructor.

Clean up after yourself and take all belongings with you.


4. Health & Illness
Do not attend lessons if the swimmer is showing any signs of illness (fever, diarrhea, vomiting, coughing, contagious infections, or open wounds). Please reschedule.


5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

Cancellations made with less notice may not be refunded or made up, unless due to emergency or at the instructor's discretion.

Lessons may be canceled or paused due to inclement weather (e.g., thunder, lightning, heavy rain).

Swimsuit
Towel
Goggles
Swim diaper (if needed)
Water bottle (optional)
Sunscreen (optional)


Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk
I understand and acknowledge that swim lessons are being conducted in a private, non-commercial backyard pool by an individual instructor who is not operating a licensed business. I recognize that participation in swim lessons and related water activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: slips, falls, injury, drowning, and exposure to environmental conditions.
I voluntarily assume all risks related to participation for myself and/or my child(ren), and I hereby release and hold harmless the instructor, the homeowner, and any associated parties from any and all liability, claims, or demands that may arise from injury, illness, or property damage occurring before, during, or after swim lessons, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Responsibility for Property Damage
I understand and agree that I am financially responsible for any damage caused to the instructor’s pool, equipment, property, or surrounding area by myself, my child(ren), or any guests I bring. I agree to repair or reimburse for such damages promptly and reasonably, as determined by the instructor or homeowner.
